Joining the Griffin Elite 15u family in summer of 2022.
With having success playing 15u as well on 16u level. Coach woods with help of Coach Kevin Graves found many opportunities to get better and win games over the summer playing against UAA, 3SSB and EYBL competition.
Closing out the summer as a Grassroots champions.
Coach Woods prides his style of basketball starting on the defensive end to transition into high speed offensive scoring. Giving all players opportunity to develop into ball handlers, defensive specialist, shot makers, decision making and raising player IQ in game time situations. Pushing players to become uncomfortable, accept challenges to evolve and reach full potential as a 2way player. Reaching inside the mental mindset inside of players to break barriers.

Coach Woods started his coaching career. Stepping in a role as assistant to Freshman, Jv and varsity boys basketball under Head Coach Brandon Britt at
“The Western High School”.
Who has become recognized as a state powerhouse not only in the 6th region but as top tier talent in the state of Kentucky.
With 2 District championship appearances
And Region Championship appearance.
Day to Day Coach woods prides him self on pushing student athletes to reach goals to succeed on and off the court.
Daily gym workouts with players who are potential D1,D2,Juco,NAIA bound.
Being part of a highly motivated coaching staff who have successfully put students to the next level with college and starter career and continued mentorship after graduation.

My son raves about anything Prep Hoops is involved in, and the Top 250 Expo was no different. It was very well organized, and very well run, and the coaches were all high-level. We sign up for anything and everything that Prep Hoops is involved in locally - you all just know how to do it right. My son attended another local showcase two weeks ago and it wasn't even close to being on the same level as yours; in fact, it was a total waste of money. Please keep doing what you are doing for all of these kids. Appreciate all you do!

We are not usually fans of camps because it brings out ball hogs and bad basketball with selfish players not playing the game the right way. This camp was different though... It was very refreshing because more times than not these types of camps seem more like money grabs rather than an actual benefit to the real talent attending them. PH made sure to put on a real showcase where top talent could be evaluated the right way.

The Prep Hoops Freshman Showcase experience was first class and well organized. The participants were given a fair and equal opportunity to showcase their skills against the other top 9th graders in the state, and if they made their mark on the court, the coverage was there to catch it all. The knowledgeable coaches kept the energy high on the court, and the basketball was fun to watch for everyone there.

I had a great time at the showcase. It was fun playing with different teammates than I usually play with. It was also fun playing against new competition and playing so many games in 1 day. That was my second time going to this showcase and it was even better than last years.

Prior to this year, he had flown under the radar even though he was an outstanding player. [Scout Jon] Gilbert recognized this talent last summer at player camps and ran some very nice pieces about Andy. That recognition served as the final piece in helping Andy receive an athletic scholarship to play Div. II Basketball at Lake Superior State University. Mr. Gilbert's recognition of Andy was vitally important given that recruiting is restricted currently and coaches have to take a little bit of a chance in extending offers.
